Our Mission

To recruit, train, and support guest teacher professionals in a variety of classroom settings for K-12 charter and private schools. Our goal is to provide quality instruction and classroom management to diverse student populations.

What We Do

TROOP provides state licensed guest teachers for supporting K-12 Charter and Private Schools throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, and Reno. Our quality guest teachers are in place for instruction when the regular classroom teacher is absent. For ensuring quality instructional performance to schools, all guest teachers are required to complete the following training modules:

· School Law
· Classroom Management
· Lesson Plan Implementation
· Characteristics of Effective Teachers
· School Safety
· Best practice for promoting student success

Our service offices are open 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Guest Teachers come from all walks of life and industries to bring a wealth of skills and valuable experiences to the classroom! Many interested applicants are students attending college, from teacher preparation licensing programs, while others are retired classroom teachers returning to share their years of valued service. Some applicants enjoy the “flexibility” of guest teaching as “every day is different” with diverse groups of students. Guest teaching provides opportunities for honing your ability to work with students in a classroom setting or is a great option for working part-time to supplement your income!

As a Guest Teacher, you can have the weekends off and choose your own schedule! One day you could be subbing in a kindergarten classroom, while a day later, be in a high school English class. A Guest Teacher is no longer a “Babysitter” and it is not a “Free Day” for students, when the teacher is absent. You share a variety of skills and contribute in a significant way to both students and staff!

Good Guest Teachers have a positive attitude that they use to build relationships with students quickly, allowing them to establish respect in the classroom. This makes it easier for them to manage classroom behavior and enforce compliance with classroom policies. Successful Guest Teachers are adaptable and flexible enough to teach subjects and grade levels that they are not experienced with. They are resourceful and know how to access relevant materials and learn from the students about where they are in the curriculum. They are also strong public speakers who can lead a lesson and improvise instruction plans.
